Here's an update from the West of the I in Kenosha County:

The search for John Spoor, 66, from McHenry, Illinois, will continue on Thursday, focusing on Silver Lake.

This is the latest statement from Sgt. Bill Beth, a spokesperson with the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department:

The search for Mr. Spoor will continue today on the waters of Silver Lake. Incident Command is being led by Silver Lake Fire Chief Allison Draeger. The current plan involves first scanning the shoreline areas before resuming the sonar search in deeper waters. Today, search teams are also expected to be assisted by cadaver dogs. The agencies involved include the Wisconsin DNR, Kenosha Sheriff’s Department Marine Unit, Village of Silver Lake Fire Department, Town of Salem Fire Department, and Town of Randall Fire Department.

John Spoor was reported missing by his family on Tuesday. His unoccupied boat was found on Silver Lake, along with his vehicle in the village.

Fire and law enforcement personnel began searching for him around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday and continued until 2 a.m. on Wednesday. They resumed the search from 8 a.m. to about 8 p.m. on Wednesday.

UPDATE: At 1:55 p.m., county dive team members were dispatched to the Silver Lake village boat launch for a non-emergency response.
