**Public Company Information:** NASDAQ: ADSK **BANGKOK, May 25, 2016** — The National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Autodesk have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to boost Thailand’s manufacturing competitiveness by promoting the adoption of advanced 3D technologies and digital manufacturing solutions across industries. Dr. Pichet Durongkaveroj, Minister of Science and Technology, emphasized that Thailand must transition from a "Thailand 3.0" model to a "Thailand 4.0" framework to move toward a high-income economy driven by innovation rather than traditional performance-based growth. He highlighted that Industry 4.0 technologies will enable more direct consumer-to-manufacturer connections, reducing the reliance on large-scale production facilities as a competitive advantage. "This collaboration with global leaders like Autodesk will empower local SMEs to integrate digital tools into their design and manufacturing processes," he added. "It also supports the development of Thai talent to meet future industry demands, aligning with national priorities in biotechnology, renewable energy, engineering, and the creative economy." The NSTDA and Autodesk plan to launch a 'Digital Manufacturing Platform' to support the National Digital Economy Master Plan. This initiative will provide up to 100,000 engineers and vocational professionals with access to Autodesk’s 3D design, simulation, and collaboration tools for three years through a subscription model. Dr. Thaweesak Koanantakool, President of NSTDA, said, "Digital manufacturing is essential for Thailand’s economic growth. By leveraging these technologies, local businesses can accelerate innovation and improve connectivity, which is crucial for achieving the government's digital economy goals." Key components of the platform include Autodesk Fusion 360 and A360 Team. Fusion 360 integrates CAD, CAM, and CAE into one platform, supporting design, manufacturing, and collaboration across devices. A360 enhances team collaboration by centralizing project data and activity. Mr. Rama Tiwari, Regional Director of Sales at Autodesk ASEAN, noted that emerging technologies such as IoT, AR/VR, robotics, and additive manufacturing are transforming the industry. "This platform gives Thai professionals and companies the tools to innovate across the entire manufacturing value chain and position Thailand as a leader in the future of making things." Beyond the Digital Manufacturing Platform, NSTDA and Autodesk are also collaborating on joint research and technology infrastructure to support Smart Cities initiatives. **About NSTDA** Established in 1991 under the Science and Technology Development Act, NSTDA comprises four national centers focused on genetic engineering, materials science, electronics, and nanotechnology, along with a Technology Management Center.
