This is from Larry Shapiro: Early this afternoon, Long Grove firefighters were called to a tractor-trailer rollover on the ramp from northbound I-53 to westbound Lake Cook Road. This location has been the site of multiple truck accidents over the years. Alongside Long Grove units, Buffalo Grove Tower 25 also responded to the scene. The driver was trapped inside the vehicle and required immediate extrication. Once the driver was safely transported to the hospital, fire crews remained on standby while a towing and recovery company arrived to upright and remove the truck and trailer. The operation involved several heavy-duty tow trucks, with the team working carefully to stabilize the vehicle and bring it back to an upright position.
