Chicago FD Media photo A man has died after an extra-alarm fire broke out early Saturday morning around 8:45 a.m. on the upper level of a large 3-story brick apartment complex located at 4820 West Hutchinson Street. Earlier, the fire department reported the blaze had occurred at 4320 N. Cicero Ave., but that was where multiple 911 calls were coming from. One man was inside the apartment when the fire started and suffered serious injuries before being pronounced dead at Community First Medical Center. Chicago fatal 2-11 apartment fire: Around 8:50 a.m., the Main Fire Alarm Office dispatched a working fire response followed by a Still & Box Alarm to Hutchinson and Cicero. The fire was in a third-floor apartment within a 3-story U-shaped courtyard building. It spread into the cockloft and was elevated to a 2-11. Shortly after, the fire was brought under control. Unfortunately, there was a fatality during this incident.
