As someone who follows the Skokie Fire Department closely, I have to say this project has sparked quite a buzz. Rumors are flying about a potential new color scheme, but nothing official has been confirmed yet. Some folks think it might harken back to an older design from the '70s, while others are hoping for something bold and modern. Either way, it’s exciting to see such dedication put into preserving these iconic vehicles.
I’ll definitely be tuning in on December 22nd to catch the big reveal. In the meantime, if anyone has any inside info or sneak peeks they’d like to share, feel free to drop them in the comments below. Let’s keep the conversation going!
[Note: Photos show different angles of the firetruck during various stages of repair. The first image highlights the cab area, which looks almost ready for painting. The second photo focuses on the rear compartment where the tools and equipment are stored. Lastly, the third picture captures the entire truck from a distance, giving a sense of its size and scale.]
