Description

This 130×130mm bias repair patch is ideal for tubeless or tube-type tires. It provides excellent flexibility, durability, and strength, having been tested and trusted over millions of miles on the road. The design includes a rubber layer between fabric and cushion gum, acting as a shock-absorbing ply. This makes it easy to apply and allows repairs closer to the tire bead, eliminating the need for a separate sidewall patch.

Instructions for Use

• Inspect the tire using manufacturer guidelines or HOPSON LAB recommendations. Mark the injury with a crayon and remove any foreign objects carefully.
• Probe the injury to determine its size and direction, removing all debris.
• Select the appropriate patch based on the injury and tire type. Apply prebuff cleaner to the area and use a rubber scraper to remove dirt and mold lubricants. Use a carbide cutter to drill three times from inside and three times from outside, ensuring all damaged cables are removed and only good rubber remains.
• Cement the injury channel with chemical vulcanizing cement and install the correct vulcanizing insert. Trim flush with the inner liner. Mechanically buff the area to a smooth texture, clean with a brush or vacuum, and apply cement, allowing it to dry completely.
• Remove the backing and center the patch over the injury, stitching it down from the center outward to eliminate trapped air.
• Finish by applying inner liner sealer around the edge of the patch to ensure a secure repair.
