Hybrid water source linkage air conditioning new technology was born
The heating and cooling technology developed by the Tianjin Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources has made significant progress through the integration of air-conditioning systems. This breakthrough enables the efficient reuse of low-grade energy sources such as industrial wastewater, municipal sewage, and geothermal discharge water.
This innovative system, known as hybrid water-source linkage operation air conditioning technology, utilizes low-temperature heat sources like industrial waste, urban sewage, and geothermal water to provide heating and cooling for buildings. At the core of this system is the water-source heat pump, which effectively extracts thermal energy from these sources to supply heating or cooling as needed.
In practice, a centralized heating and cooling station is established near the building or facility requiring climate control. Two underground reservoirs are used: one stores hot water for heating purposes, while the other holds cold water for cooling. Depending on the demand, the heat pump can draw from either reservoir, allowing flexible and efficient temperature regulation.
According to reports, this technology relies mainly on electricity and avoids the use of traditional polluting energy sources. It is considered a clean, sustainable solution that not only reduces environmental impact but also promotes the recycling of water resources. By utilizing otherwise wasted heat, it contributes to energy efficiency and supports the development of green infrastructure in urban areas.
