Description
The 130×130mm bias repair patches are ideal for use on tubeless or tube-type tires. These patches provide excellent flexibility, increased strength, and a robust design that has been proven reliable over millions of miles. They are manufactured with a rubber layer between the fabric and cushion gum, acting as a shock-absorbing layer. This design makes the patch easy to apply and allows repairs to be made closer to the tire bead, eliminating the need for separate sidewall repair units.
HOPSON offers a wide range of bias-ply (cross-ply) repair patches suitable for passenger, truck, OTR, agricultural, and industrial tires.

Instructions for Use
- Inspect the tire for repairability using the manufacturer's guidelines or HOPSON LAB recommendations. If repairable, mark the injury with a crayon and remove the object carefully.
- Probe the injury to determine its size and direction, removing all debris.
- Select the appropriate repair patch based on the injury and tire type. Apply prebuff cleaner to the area, then use a rubber scraper to remove dirt and mold lubricants. Using a carbide cutter, drill the injury channel three times from inside and three times from outside, ensuring all damaged and rusted cables are removed, leaving only good rubber.
- Cement the injury channel with chemical vulcanizing cement and install the corresponding vulcanizing insert. Trim flush with the inner liner. Mechanically buff the repair area to a velvet-like texture. Remove dust using a clean brush or vacuum. Apply chemical vulcanizing cement to the buffed area, working it into the rubber and allowing it to dry thoroughly.
- Remove the backing and center the repair patch over the injury, stitching it down from the center outward to eliminate trapped air.
- Finish the repair by applying inner liner sealer around the edge of the patch and the buffed area.
