Description

 

HOPSON provides a wide range of radial-ply repair patches suitable for passenger, truck, and OTR tires. These thick, rubber-reinforced patches can be placed in any direction. The special design and formulation ensure flexibility and heat resistance, making them ideal for long-lasting repairs.

INSTRUCTIONS

• Inspect the tire using manufacturer guidelines or HOPSON LAB standards. If repairable, mark the injury and remove the object carefully.
• Probe the injury to determine its size and direction, removing all debris.
• Choose the appropriate patch based on the injury and tire type. Clean the area with prebuff cleaner and use a rubber scraper to remove dirt and lubricants. Use a carbide cutter to drill the injury channel from both inside and outside, ensuring only good rubber remains.
• Apply chemical vulcanizing cement to the injury channel and install the vulcanizing insert. Trim flush with the inner liner. Buff the area to a smooth texture, then clean it thoroughly. Apply more cement and allow it to dry completely.
• Remove the backing and place the patch over the injury, stitching it down from the center outward to eliminate trapped air.
• Finish by applying inner liner sealer around the patch and the buffed area.
