· Volvo's global sales in September exceeded 50,000 in China by nearly 30%

Volvo Cars recently announced the global sales data of the group completed in September 2017. Netcom has learned from the official that the luxury car manufacturer from Sweden has sold more than 50,000 new cars worldwide in September. Among them, the largest single market in China sold more than 10,000 units in September, an increase of nearly 30% year-on-year. According to this situation, at the end of 2017, Volvo's sales in China are expected to exceed 100,000 units.

In September 2017, Volvo sold a total of 11,544 new cars in China, an increase of 29.8% compared with 8,891 in the same period in 2016. Volvo's cumulative sales in China in January-September reached 82,341 units, an increase of 29.9% compared with the sales of 63,387 new cars in the same period last year. Among them, the XC60, S60L and S90 long-axis versions produced in China are still the main driving force for growth.

Sales of Volvo Cars have not only grown in China, but have also enjoyed encouraging sales in three major markets around the world. It is worth mentioning that in the US region where sales rebounded last month, it saw a substantial increase in September, with a total of 7,900 new cars sold, a year-on-year increase of 40.7%. In Volvo's hometown of Sweden, 5,745 new cars were sold, a slight increase of 5.9% year-on-year.

In the past September, Volvo sold a total of 53,674 new cars worldwide, an increase of 11.2% compared with 48,259 vehicles in the same period last year. Last year, Volvo sold 379,331 new cars in the first nine months, and this year the data increased by 9.0% to 413,472.
