Zhenhai Refining First EPC Contractor Starts
On the morning of March 3, the grand opening ceremony for the 650,000-ton-per-year ethylene oxide/ethylene glycol plant was held as part of the ethylene project at Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Branch. This milestone marked the official start of construction for the ethylene oxide/glycol plant, which was contracted by Sinopec Shanghai Engineering Co., Ltd. The project is now officially under way under the EPC general contracting model. Notably, this facility has achieved two key firsts: it completed the process design ahead of schedule and also finished the basic design before other major components of the ethylene plant. These achievements highlight the project's strong foundation and the team’s commitment to excellence. With this launch, the project is well on its way to becoming a significant industrial success in China's chemical sector.
