On the other hand, the V-type ball valve has a fixed structure, with the ball featuring a V-shaped cut. This design allows for proportional control, offering flow characteristics that are approximately equal percentage. It is well-suited for applications requiring precise flow regulation. Depending on the process requirements, these valves can be operated using either pneumatic or electric actuators, resulting in pneumatic ball valves or electric ball valves. For pneumatic valves to achieve proportional control, a positioner is typically required. For electric valves, an electronic actuator or a servo amplifier may be selected to enable accurate control and adjustment.
