Classification of Fluidized Bed Dryer and Applicable Materials (Part I)--Ze Xiefang, General Manager of Vanguard Drying Co., Ltd.

With the continuous advancement of fluidized bed drying technology, the variety of equipment and the range of materials it can handle have expanded significantly. As a result, fluidized bed dryers are now widely used across industries such as chemical processing, light manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and food production. Due to the varying drying requirements for different materials, multiple types of fluidized bed dryers have been developed to meet specific needs. Below is an overview of the main types. 1. **Single-Layer Fluidized Bed Dryer** This is the most basic type of fluidized bed dryer and can be operated continuously or intermittently. Continuous operation allows for a broad distribution of residence time, making it ideal for materials that dry easily or those with less strict quality demands. Intermittent operation, on the other hand, is better suited for high-moisture materials or those with uneven particle sizes and some viscosity, often requiring agitation within the bed to ensure even drying. The single-layer design is simple to operate, easy to maintain, and provides stable temperature control and good drying performance. However, it has a longer drying cycle. It is commonly used for materials like ammonium sulfate, sodium sulfite, polytetrafluoroethylene, calcium gluconate, and various catalysts. 2. **Multi-Layer Fluidized Bed Dryer** The multi-layer design offers more uniform residence time compared to the single-layer version, resulting in shorter drying times and improved moisture consistency in the final product. This makes it easier to control the drying quality. However, the increased number of layers adds complexity to the system, requiring careful maintenance of stable fluidization between each layer. This type of dryer is particularly effective for materials with strong water-binding properties. It is suitable for powdery granular substances such as polyester chips, sodium salicylate, antibiotics, and various food and feed products. 3. **Horizontal Multi-Chamber Fluidized Bed Dryer** This type of dryer addresses some of the limitations of the multi-layer design, such as structural complexity and high resistance between layers. Wet material is fed into the first chamber, where it becomes fluidized and moves sequentially through the subsequent chambers. The dried product is then discharged from the last chamber. This system is highly efficient for drying difficult-to-dry granular or heat-sensitive materials and is increasingly being adapted for use with powdered substances. It is commonly used for materials like polyvinyl chloride, nylon, tetracycline, chloramphenicol, and various food and chemical ingredients. Overall, each type of fluidized bed dryer has its own advantages and applications, and the choice depends on the material properties, desired drying efficiency, and quality standards.

Oil-Free Heater

An oil-free heater, also known as an non oil-filled heater, oil-filled radiator, is a common form of convection heater used in domestic heating. Oil-free heaters usually do not have fans to blow the heat into the room and office . The lack of a fan in an oil-free heater is what makes it silent and great.

so oil-free heaters are perfect and weightlight.

welcome to OEM.

thankyou
