Wheeling firefighters responded to an automatic alarm at 45 W. Hintz Road and arrived to find heavy smoke coming from Crothall Laundry Services. Upon arrival, the first engine unit requested a working fire upgrade and entered the large industrial laundry facility. The fire was discovered in a commercial dryer and was quickly extinguished before mutual aid units arrived on the scene. The incident appeared to be contained with minimal damage reported.
