This is from Scott Peterson: I came across this accident just a few minutes after it occurred yesterday. The incident took place on Randall Road in front of Biaggi’s Restaurant. There isn’t much information available about the crash, but it seems the driver was heading northbound when they veered into the southbound lanes about two blocks before the collision. They hit a Light pole, then a tree, and finally crashed into the large restaurant sign. The driver became trapped in the vehicle, and it took emergency crews approximately 20 minutes to extricate them. A flight-for-life (air ambulance) was requested, but it wasn’t available due to poor weather conditions. Despite the challenges, local emergency services responded quickly. Algonquin Fire Department units involved included Engine 142, Engine 141, Ambulance 142, Ambulance 141, and Shift Command 130. Great work by the crews! It’s always impressive to see how fast and efficiently first responders handle these types of situations.
