Huntsman MDI and polyurethane global price increase
Huntsman Corporation recently announced that due to rising raw material costs, it will implement price increases for its diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI) and polyurethane products across global markets. The adjustments are aimed at maintaining product quality and service levels amid ongoing supply chain challenges.
Under the new pricing strategy, the North American Free Trade Zone will see an increase of 8 cents per pound, equivalent to approximately $176 per ton. In other regions, the price hikes vary: Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India will face a rise of 150 euros per ton, while the Asia-Pacific region will experience an increase of 150 U.S. dollars per ton. These changes will take effect on April 1 or as stipulated in individual contracts.
The company emphasized that these adjustments reflect the current economic landscape and the need to sustain long-term value for customers. Huntsman continues to monitor market conditions closely and remains committed to delivering reliable solutions to its global clients.
